The Spring/Summer season could quite possibly be my favourite – don’t get me wrong I’m all for warm cosy nights, slouching on the sofa with my tv remote in one hand and a cup of steaming tea in the other – BUT I cannot get enough of the colour this years SS collections have to offer.
As it’s now officially April and the sun has made several appearances, I wanted to share my fave items for SpringSummer17! If you’re like me and aren’t fashion focused – you just like what you like – it can be difficult to keep up with trends without going too far from your comfort zone.
Here are 15 staple items I believe still capture the SS17 trends without breaking the bank and don’t look too “out there”.
Oh my how I love a mini dress for work. This seasons trends sees the return of styles such as ruffles, gingham and fluted sleeves. It also brings back trends such as stripes, slogan pieces as well as sheer.
Normally I tend to find the less ‘out there’ items as I’m not very adventurous – below are some of the items I’m currently in love with. Think simple elegant pieces that subtly keep me on trend in the fashion world.
A girl can never have too many shoes, for those of you who don’t know me I’ll let you into a little secret – if I could live and die in a pair of heels I would! But that just isn’t possible.
The SS17 season is bringing back the court shoe, as if it ever left, as well as firm favourites the flatform sandals – these are a great way to jazz up your wardrobe without going overboard with the main event.
From rocking the court-shoe sandal like Kim K to the fluffy slider like Rihanna below are some of my must haves for the Spring/Summer season.
Forget the choker, that’s been and gone, enter the statement necklace. This season brings back many recurring themes from statement necklaces all the way to sunglasses that will be sure to earn a spot at a festival.
Here are some of my favourites at the moment.
