top 10: July 2016

July 17, 2016

In order to get myself blogging a bit more, I decided to sum up my week in an ‘appreciation’ list. This way I can blog continuously and get myself into a habit..
After the terrible news of the attacks in Nice, and the mass killing in Turkey I wanted to reflect in all that I have to be proud of.
1. Graduation
This week I graduated from Southampton Solent University with a First Class Honours degree in Marketing with Advertising Management (a mouthful I know). Although the day didn’t live up to expectation, I celebrated with my family; boyfriend and friends.
I’m not one to credit anyone else for ‘support’ or ‘getting me through University’ because nobody got the degree aside from me. Having said that, I want to shout out to Lauren, Amy and Rhian who made my final year a memorable one – without them I don’t think I would have had half the fun or the grades for that matter.
2. Moving Out
On Thursday I finally moved in with my other half, Tom. Stressful would be an understatement to describe the first couple days we’ve had but we got through. I’m so excited to start my journey with him by my side and hopefully getting him to cook me dinner!
3. I received presents
For anyone who doesn’t know me – I’m a massive baking fan. I love eating and making cakes, cookies and much more. As a present for being so clever my mother bought me a wonderful kitchen aid, WHICH IM IN LOVE WITH!! I am yet to use it but I’m sure it won’t be long until I do.
If you’re mad about baking – you need one of these.
It sounds silly however anyone who has been will understand and share my excitement for IKEA. It’s just genius. Although Tom and I can only furnish a one bedroom flat, we walked round buying things as if we owned a 4 bedroom house – note to self, go with a list otherwise you’ll end up buying everything.
This week has been full of tantrums, stressful sighs, tears of joy, prosecco and at the end of it a lot of appreciation. I’m very thankful for the loved ones I get to share all these experiences with & I’m looking forward to having my weekends back.
It’s really difficult to find my 10 moments that were so good I had to share them.. hopefully I’ll get better at this.
